Cycling Trip

at Agriturismo Rini

What is Bormio Cycling trip about?

This is cycling in Italy the way it was meant to be — on the same roads where Giro d’Italia legends were made, where every climb carries a story and every descent earns its reward.

You’ll ride through breathtaking mountain landscapes, pass through quiet villages, and stop to taste the local products that make this region worth slowing down for. Each route is carefully put together to challenge you just enough, with expert guidance on hand to help you ride smarter and enjoy every kilometre at your own pace.

The evenings are just as good as the days. Expect great wine, good food, and the kind of easy conversation that only happens when a group of cyclists sits down together after a big ride. No logistics, no stress — your premium hotel, the spa, and everything in between is taken care of so you can focus entirely on the riding and the experience around it.

It’s the joy of cycling, the pleasure of real Italian food, the satisfaction of legendary roads under your wheels — and the rare feeling of being completely in the moment. Italy on and off the saddle, done properly.

Where you will stay

Agriturismo Rini is a one-of-a-kind upscale farmstay set on a working dairy farm at the foot of the Italian Alps in Bormio, blending rustic-chic charm with genuine alpine hospitality in one of Europe’s most legendary cycling destinations.

Why cyclists love it: The property is part hotel, part working farm — home to 60 Brown Swiss cows whose fresh milk, yogurt, and cheese go straight to the farm-to-table restaurant on site. After a long day in the saddle, guests can count on spacious rooms with balconies, a basement for secure bike storage, and facilities to wash cycling kit — plus a locked bicycle room, pump, tools, and a maintenance stand. The restaurant is a highlight in itself, with sensational food and exemplary service rooted in farm-fresh, local ingredients — perfect for replenishing after big efforts. Bormio sits in the heart of the Alps surrounded by the Stelvio National Park, putting iconic climbs like the Stelvio Pass, Gavia, and Mortirolo all within easy reach directly from the door. Free city bikes are also available for guests who want to cruise the two minutes into Bormio’s historic centre. It’s no coincidence that Bormio and its surroundings have earned the title “home of the road cyclist” — and Agriturismo Rini is where the serious riders stay.

What you will eat

The cuisine is typical italian but it’s more than that, it’s typical of the region and highly specific for the mountain area that we’ll be in. Polenta taragna, sciatt, pizzoccheri are just a few of the local dishes! They give you the right energy to sustain the amount of riding that we’ll do.

The Hotel also has international cuisine and special diets like vegan, celiac, adapted to allergies, etc.

We will ride the most legendary rides from Giro D’Italia like Stelvio, Gavia, Mortirolo, Aprica and many others. We will have a support car and will be able to adjust the level of your effort to your fitness and technical skill level. The rides will be between 50 km and 150 km and 1000 to 2500 mt elevation.

The pace will be at times challenging and at times chill. This trip is not a race, it’s for having a little fun by inserting some challenge here and there but also taking the time to really enjoy and savor the scenery, the atmosphere, the company, the food and all the other things.

What cyclists say about our cycling trips

Tracy Johnson, Colorado

We just enjoyed an amazing bike trip in Tenerife. Amalia saw to our every need: from lodging, to meals, to bikes and tour guides.

The riding was the highlight of the trip. Tenerife boasts beautiful black sand beaches and volcanic landscapes and everything in between.

Biking is a great way to see this beautiful island and Teide rides were thoughtfully plotted to show off the beautiful local sites while considering practical things like traffic and road surfaces. The riding is challenging! Very hilly.

Teide guides were excellent and adapted the rides to our interests and fitness level. Wonderful trip! Thanks Aldo and especially Amalia!

Stefania Monica Fiora

Although I arrived in Tenerife without specific training for the climb, thanks to Aldo’s skill in a week I managed to cycle the most important itineraries his help in managing the loads, so as to allow me to go out every day despite the inevitable tiredness. The bike rental, of good quality, perfectly adapted to my biomechanics, absolutely did not make me regret my very special one left at home. Ultimately, a great training and profitable week, which allowed me to improve my preparation for the upcoming competitive season. Last but not least, cycling in Tenerife is a unique experience due to its landscapes and climate: returning to Puerto de la Cruz after the outings, feeling the salty ocean air, is something priceless! Finding smooth asphalt without chasms and civil drovers is incredible. A place to definitely return: absolutely recommended!

Barbara Bocchi & Marco Carini

This is the second year that my husband Marco and I have relied on Aldo and Amalia to cycle on the wonderful island of Tenerife. Thanks to them we discovered the northern part and were very satisfied with the experience. Every day we were offered a different itinerary and always suited to our potential. We appreciated its flexibility in allowing us to stop for photos or/and unexpected stops. We give a very positive rating and recommend this to anyone wishing to undertake the same experience as us.

Andrea Ferrarini

What can I say? You know when you’re at home, but far from home? There you go. That’s what I can say about Amalia and Aldo. They’re present, professional, friendly, and protective, literally. They don’t leave you alone, but look after you like family. Got a problem? They go out of their way to help you (and I’ve had some). You accidentally call Amalia? Three seconds later, she’s calling you back to check if everything’s okay. Bike problem? Fixed in a flash.      This is true attention. They’re genuine, genuine people. I had a great time and highly recommend them. As for the rest, I can only say that Tenerife is wonderful. But most of all, I was struck by the civility of this place. Roads shared in a respectful and polite manner. Smooth asphalt roads to ride without the slightest vibration, and then there’s HIS MAJESTY, TEIDE. Go there, you’ll be speechless.
